MS Balaje Viswanaathan liked to be called MS brings more than 15 years of experience in Business Intelligence , Data warehousing ,Analytics and BigData playing technical leadership and cross functional roles. With a techno-management educational background Masters in Computer Science, MBA in Systems and Project Management and Post Graduate Diploma in Data Mining, MS is passionate with wide ranging of interest in Big Data and Analytics space . At MphasiS he is performing leadership role in Analytics practice focusing on Emerging technologies BIDW, Big Data ,Hadoop and its Eco systems where he and his team provides end to end BIDW service and solutioning for Retail, Government and Energy & Utility players .He is instrumental on Innovating a new Hybrid process called MAALBS which is a blend of Agile SCRUM , ITIL and Lean . This was successfully implemented for one of the Hi-tech clients and ranked Top 5 Software projects implementations in India listed by PC Quest . He has written Guides on “LETZ DO PMP”, LETZ DO ITIL for PMP and ITIL aspirants . He has conducted sessions on PMP,AGILE SCRUM , ITIL , Datawarehousing and Big data Hadoop to his community.

Important career decisions
I was going great guns within CTS. The Opportunity within Computer Sciences Corporation – CSC presented itself with more entrepreneurial approach to the way things being done. Hence made a decision to move out from a more comfort zone and plunged myself as a explorer in different dimensions of work league within CSC. I Cherished my times with both CTS and CSC. Both made me who I am today.

My tips towards an upcoming management leader · The leader should map his mind on generating innovative ideas which is beneficial to his society ,community and his country · Should effectively plan for his implementations and risks mitigation strategy. · Must have the short term and long term goals · Should smartly exercise on Force field analysis · Must have the adaptability and agility to work in-line with customer commitments and expectations · Achieve superior results time after time · Must have the vision , mission and passion on his goals and achievements · Continuous intelligence on Market , Technology ,Business and Competitors · Listen and understand the issue, then lead · Make things happens · Connect with your people’s emotions
Handling Grievances
· Evaluate whether or not the grievance can be resolved informally or if the formal grievance procedure should be used · Have an arbitrator and a manager to deal with the employee's grievance. · Perform a thorough investigation into the grievance and obtain all relevant facts. Share the evidence to the employee in advance of the grievance meeting. · Invite the employee to the grievance meeting and remind him or her of their statutory right to be accompanied by a colleague or representative. · Allow the employee to explain the details of his or her grievance and how they would like it to be resolved. · Adjourn the grievance meeting to give proper consideration to all the evidence before making a decision · inform the employee in writing with details of why that decision was reached. · Notify the employee of his or her right to appeal against the outcome of the grievance procedure

My views on India Technical development
Before the British era, India was the wonder of the world in terms of innovation in areas of Literature, Architecture, Medicine, Wellness, archeological explorations etc. After British descended here, the entire outlook begin to polarize in terms of Service orientation. Hence the culture of mind set moved from Innovation to Service orientation. This pattern has been the blue print spiraling across all the industries and more relevant than ever before in IT Industry. Even though small to large innovations in specific sectors like Automobile, Pharma, Bio industries have garnered attention, both as work force society and educational system does not augment / prepare the self for Entrepreneurial mindset reflecting in Innovation. Hence we have largely know for Service orientation effectiveness with affordable labor cost. Now with the recent global trend within IT moving towards two main spheres in terms of innovation and affordable cost model, no longer Services can only be the benchmark for Market capitalization, rather Innovation has a integral part of your service model. Hence in the next 5-10 years the optimistic outlook for India would be alliance partnerships within different organizations in coming out with new product suites, linear service models and greater thrust for quality innovation with greater support from both Private and Government players.
Family background
· MS wife K . Anantaa Lacmi liked to be called KAL works as a Sr .Technical architect for one of leading multinational bank. · She is passionate on Classical dance and they have a 5 year old daughter Sahana Shree doing her UKG in PSBB Millennium Chennai. · MS has represented TamilNadu state under 16 State cricket team and played First division and District matches and he likes going on long drives with his family.
